Though i am an avid reader, i am kind of lazy when it comes to penning down stuff (of let's rather say typing down my thoughts in this e-age). Like most people my thoughts are at their best on the hot seat in the most peaceful place - SHAUCHALYA... that is one reason why i have my cell phone handy all the time.. my drafts are way bigger than the texts in my inbox. The second best time when muse hits me is at about 3am at night when i am lying in my bed and looking at the false pasted luminous stars on my ceiling. (m a total night person)
A lot more than prose it's the poetry that hits my head and i am posting a few of my works in no random order and for no one person in particular.
And before these give you any idea, i am very much single and these poems have been written randomly scattered over a few years time :)

Nirvana

Scan through all the religions,
There are so many differences you find.
Achieving heaven is the only common belief,
people suffer at will, just so later they could unwind.

Why is Nirvana the only motivation?
Can't we be good for the beauty of being good alone?
There is no harm in being true to oneself,
to be content and far from being forlorn.

Heaven belongs to those,
who trust in Him but are kind.
When we stop being obsessed with the end,
darkness within would surrender, eternal sun would shine.

Giving without expecting,
opens our soul's selfless door.
The key is to achieve satisfaction,
and happiness is just deep in heart's core.

Think before you speak !

A speech is like a love affair. Any fool can start it, but to end it requires considerable skill.

God made human race above every other species. We are the only 'mortal mammals' who can express in words what we see, hear and feel. But how often do we actually use this gift in the correct direction? We misuse our power of speech, are stingy in being expressive, are articulate enough to mold the words to our selfish advantage, use them to make fun of those who impart pearls of wisdom or remind us to remember our creator, are disrespectful to those who care for us and most often are more complaining than thankful.

I have hurt quiet a few people by giving into impulsiveness and speaking what I shouldn’t have. But words are like an arrow, cannot be reversed once they are out. You can just hope, later someday, that the wounds are now healed and you are forgiven.

Understanding people, maintain relations with ones who matter, is a life long process which is made easy with a kind heart and a sweet tongue.

Defining 'Right' and 'Wrong'

The pendulum of the mind oscillates between sense and nonsense, not between right and wrong.

Right, wrong.

Two strong words that rule every action, decision and feeling in our life. Our every step is first categorized under either 'yes its right' or 'no its wrong'. But who determines it? Who makes these rules? Its amazing to see how even the most similar people may have completely different definition of the same. Ultimately everything is carried out either by choice (refusing to leave one’s comfort zone) or by force (given to parental/peer pressure). Growing up I went through a great turmoil within regarding most of the cliché moral stigmas in our society. Now the strange part is that these values change as per the family, gender, place, situation, person, environment and society. A child living with a family is sometimes even denied an innocent lunch with friends under the pretext of family priorities. However, the same child, if staying out of town, may party every night and get away with it.. Again, if we connect it to our Indian wedding systems, some families embrace their kid’s choice with open arms and happily accept his/her love. To other few, love marriage is still such an alien concept that untimely the couple elopes to find happiness in the arms of their true love.

Whatever way we put it, ultimately right and wrong are just synonymous to the prevalent double standards, they are forever exploited to one’s favor. If only there was an objective right and wrong to be followed universally, there would be less confusion in this chaotic world.. Oh well, just a wishful thinking!
